Valeri Kharlamov, Vladislav Tretiak, Sasha Maltsev, and team CCCP autographed photo. Incredibly rare Valeri Kharlamov twice-autographed 8" by 10" image of the famed Soviet Union's national team, circa 1975--also signed by 13 teammates including fellow hall of famer Vladislav Tretiak and likely future HOF’re Sasha Maltsev. Owing to the Cold War’s Iron Curtain, signed CCCP hockey-items are highly coveted and virtually non-existent. And one bearing the hand of Valeri Kharlamov, whose life (and 14-year hockey career) was cut short on August 27, 1981 when both he and his wife were killed in an automobile accident, is truly noteworthy. Here is such an item signed by Kharlamov on the white border below his image. As an added bonus and using a different, bright red-ink pen, Kharlamov also wrote a short missive in Russian on the verso, which translates to: "Elochka and Carlos, For your memory from the National Team of the USSR. Wishing you health and happiness in life. From the bottom of the heart wishing you good luck in your life. With best wishes, Valery Kharlamov.” Below his signature, also in red, is that of his famed teammate, “Sasha [Alexander] Maltsev,” who has also signed the front. Other notable signatures on the image-side include Vladimir Myshkin, Vladimir Petrov, Boris Mikhailov, Vladislav Tretiak & Vasily Pervukhin. Truly a one-of-a-kind, museum-worthy CCCP piece—this is the only Kharlamov autograph we have ever offered and the only signed Russsian team photo we have ever seen!
